MAKE SCRIP AN FCS HABIT!
Interview with Suzy Esquivel, FCS Admissions Coordinator.
FCS: For new families not familiar with SCRIP, what is it and how does it work?
Suzy: The easiest way to explain it is to think of them as GIFT CARDS. For every GIFT CARD sold, our school receives a percentage of the face value of the card. That can range from 1% to 10% or more.
FCS: What kind of CARDS are available?
Suzy: We’ve got hundreds to select from! For groceries, there are CARDS for Vons, Albertsons, Sprouts and Stater Brothers. For gasoline, we have Chevron, Arco, Shell and Mobil. For retail stories, we offer
Kohl’s, JC Penney, Target, Walmart and many others.
FCS: How about Restaurants and Fast Food?
Suzy: Absolutely! P. F. Changs, Red Robin, Applebees and Chilis are great options. Then there are CARDs available for Plaza Produce, Burger King, El Pollo Loco and many others.
FCS: How do I find out what’s available? And how do I buy them?
Suzy : You can download an order form here or visit glscrip.com for a complete listing of what is available. You can place an order at any time by filling out an order form, attaching cash or a check and dropping it by the office or in the drop box. You can also stop by the SCRIP table which is set up on Tuesdays mornings near car line from 7:30-8:30am.
