Our team of 22 students, 3 teachers, and 13 parents are spending their Thanksgiving break ministering to those in the Dominican Republic. Working alongside the Manny Mota Foundation they have been delivering uniforms and toys to children in the area and will even prepare a traditional, American Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds of people. We will be following them closely and updating our blog with the latest pictures and video of their adventures. Please check back often!
Today, all the guys with Destinee and Tahna went down to an orphanage in Santo Domingo. The orphanage had about 13 boys in it. We played football, soccer, and baseball down at a field. Joe DeFina gave all the kids hats that he had in his bag. Afterwards, we took everyone in the bus to get ice cream. The kids were loving the ice cream and the playground that the ice cream shop had. Finally, we went back to the orphanage and gave all the kids gift bags and sang a song. The kids were really happy and I had an absolute blast!

Today at the foundation we had all of the girls except for Destinee and Tahna who were at the orphanage. While at the foundation we set up a store for the mothers with babies and we held a luncheon for the older women of the community. The store went well and we fulfilled the needs of the mothers. The luncheon also went well, we blessed them by feeding them, giving them gift bags, painting their nails and sharing about how we look up and respect our grandmas.
