As of Fall 2015, Foothill Christian School has sub-contracted the food services program with Bevaris Alliance. Bevaris currently serves hot, home style cooked lunches to over 40 schools in the southern California area. They pride themselves on serving appealing and nutritious lunches for students.
They provide a pre-paid lunch menu for all Preschool-8th grade students and a la carte service additionally to grades 4-8. With an online ordering system, you can purchase your child’s lunch easily and quickly. Menu items are healthy, cost effective, and student friendly; ensuring that eight essential nutrients are met, including minimums for calories, protein, iron, calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C.
Chef Joseph Durkan will be leading the FCS kitchen to healthy and delicious meals.
Meet Chef Durkan!
My name is Joseph Durkan and I currently reside in Glendora. You can spot me teaching cooking classes at The Village Kitchen Shoppe in downtown or dining at The Golden Spur on Route 66. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from Le Cordon Bleu and my own dessert business that caters to many local cafes and eateries. I am sort of an adrenaline junkie who enjoys snowboarding as well as antique picking with my fiancé Nhancye.
What is your favorite food?
My favorite foods to cook and eat are the types of food that I am unfamiliar with. I absolutely love trying anything new including seafood and different flavors from all around the world.
What sets Bevaris Alliance apart?
What sets our catering group apart is our actual concern for what children eat. It is so easy to feed kids cheap, fried food. We enjoy the challenge of feeding kids food that is actually good for them. It not only makes them feel better but it makes us feel good too!
I look forward to seeing you on campus!
